Soggy Dry Lake (15 minutes east of Lucerne Valley, CA) We’ve had a ton of presales, lots of people are heading out this weekend. The two actors from the road warrior are confirmed.
We do not have a cap limit on people showing up, so drive out,bring friends, and buy tickets at the gate. tickets wont sell out.
After all, its a desert. We have room to expand.

Approx. mileage once you exit the 15 Freeway is as follows:
- *Take 15 Freeway NORTH to Victorville
- *Exit BEAR VALLEY ROAD/Highway 18 – TURN RIGHT (From this point on, there will be scattered signage on this journey so look for them as you travel!) *Go approx. 14 miles until you see a fork in the road which will be the 18/247 junction, bear RIGHT onto 247.
- *Go approx. 26 miles on 247 to the entrance of Soggy Dry Lake (you will turn left onto Bessemer Mine Road) *It is approx. 3 miles on a graded dirt road from the entrance to the actual event site.
There is PLENTY of places on Bear Valley Road/Highway 18 to stop and get gas, eat or buy food and supplies.
A few places on the way are:
Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, Food 4 Less, Winco, Liquor & Smoke shops, gas stations & lots of fast food.
Once you hit 247 there will be next to nothing, so get your supplies while you are still in “civilization”!
Again, it is COLD COLD COLD out there both day and night, so bring plenty of firewood, blankets, warm sleeping bags, warm clothing such as coats, scarves, hats and goggles/eye protection and safe heaters! You may use firepits that are already on site, make your own out of rocks or bring your own portable firepit but DO NOT BURN WOOD WITH NAILS! Thank you!
Bring plenty of cash for use in Bartertown (no CC accepted) and there will be tickets sold at the gate for the special discounted rate of $80 **CASH ONLY**! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Remember this is a BYOB event! Bring in your own alcohol BUT NO GLASS CONTAINERS ALLOWED! Cans and plastic only!
REMEMBER: PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT! You are responsible for your own capsite clean up! Respect the land!
P.S. SECURITY WILL BE RANDOMLY CHECKING FOR WRIST BANDS ALL WEEKEND LONG! ANY PERSON FOUND WITHOUT A WRISTBAND WILL BE DISPELLED FROM THE EVENT! Don’t make the MFP kick your cheatin’ ass out!
Be courteous, kind and patient and we will all have a kick ass time in the Wastelands!
This is a Mad Max themed event- an adults-only post-apocalyptic camping experience that will feature fire dancers, DJ’s, vendors, contests, off-road races, and actors from the film “The Road Warrior.” Costumes are mandatory and themed campsites & vehicles are encouraged.
A gyrocopter and a number of Mad Max replica vehicles are scheduled to attend, including replicas of the Mad Max interceptor, and a replica of the Lord Humungus’ vehicle from “The Road Warrior.”
